The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons Inc. Is looking for someone to take home one of their pups.
Dale is a 1-year-old German shepherd who was recently found as a stray in Texas.
The roughly 54-pound boy was rescued by the Rescue Paw Foundation and then transferred to ARF in East Hampton, New York, shortly after.

The German shepherd knows his basic commands, which may lead one to think he had a loving home prior to being found — and he can walk well on a leash.

Although Dale is loving and sweet and gets along well with other dogs, he's not a fan of cats, the organization said.
Because of this, ARF recommends that Dale go to a home where no cats are currently living.

11 German Shepherd Puppies Rescued After Being Abandoned In Woods
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - On March 5, Henry County Animal Control rescued four abandoned German Shepherd puppies near Chestnut Knob Road in Ridgeway.
Hours later, they received another call about seven more puppies a mile down the road.
The puppies were covered in ticks and malnourished, and tested positive for worms.
"It's absolutely uncalled for," said Allie Keatts, Henry County Animal Shelter Manager. "The Henry County Animal Shelter is an open intake shelter for Henry County residents. We would have taken the puppies with open arms. There was absolutely no reason that they should have been dumped in the woods to fend for themselves."
The puppies are now in foster care through Virginia German Shepherd Rescue.
They say most of them are doing well, but a few are still struggling to make a full recovery. Four have tested positive for Parvo and another has parasites.
"We encourage everyone to be responsible pet owners," said Sheriff Wayne Davis with the Henry County Sheriff's Office. "With the resources that we have here in Henry County, such as our animal shelter, the local SPCA, and even our surrounding localities, there's absolutely no excuse for anyone to have dropped these animals off in the woods like this. It's egregious in my opinion."
The Sheriff's Office is asking the community for help figuring out who may have done this.
They could be charged with 11 counts of animal cruelty and 11 counts of animal abandonment.
"If you're going to own pets, you need to be responsible. They need to be cared for adequately. They should be treated more like a family member than just an animal to be dropped in the woods. Please don't abandon your pets and leave them to die," added Sheriff Davis.
Animal Control also found a female German Shepherd they believe to be the mother in the same area a few days prior to rescuing the puppies.
Uki is available for adoption at the Henry County Animal Shelter.
"We are an open intake facility. We take in new dogs every single day. So, having the community pitch in and help out by fostering and adopting helps us make more space for those animals that continue to come in," said Keatts.
An online application to adopt the puppies can be filled out here.

Eleven German Shepherd Puppies In Recovery After Being Left In The Woods
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Henry County Animal Control rescued eleven German Shepherd puppies from the woods March 5.
The two litters were covered in ticks and malnourished, and some of them had worms and parasites.
Virginia German Shepherd Rescue took in nine of the puppies and two were adopted.
"Almost as soon as they had heard about the puppies, they reached out to us," said Monja Vadnais, Virginia German Shepherd Rescue volunteer and foster. "We wanted to help as much as we could."
Four of the puppies had to be hospitalized after testing positive for Parvo. Vadnais says Parvo has a 90% death rate if left untreated. However, it can be prevented through vaccinations.
So far, medical care for the puppies has cost the rescue over $35,000.
"If you end up getting a dog that gets Parvo, it's going to be vomiting, having diarrhea, it needs to go into having emergency care 24/7, and there's lots of dehydration and medications for pain. They have to be fed via tubes for nutrients because they're not going to be eating. It's a lot of day-to-day care," explained Vadnais.
Monja Vadnais is fostering six of the puppies. Only two, Buddy and Cooper, are still in the hospital fighting to recover from Parvo.
"One is doing better than the other. It has started to eat a little something. The other one is still questionable. We're just not sure how it's going to go. He's still in there for it and as long as he's fighting, we're there by his side," said Vadnais.
They say the other nine puppies are continuing to improve and becoming more playful every day.
"The remaining four that are in my house are actually clamoring at the door to come outside. So, they're doing well. They're eating, they're doing normal puppy stuff, chewing on everything, and roughhousing. They're doing great," described Vadnais.
Once the puppies with the rescue reach full health, they will be up for adoption. Applications for adoption can be submitted online. Donations to help with the medical expenses can be made here.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office says there are no updates on who may have abandoned them.
