What Is Gimoti? Gimoti ( metoclopramide ) is a prescription nasal spray used to treat adults 18 and older with diabetic gastroparesis . Gimoti belongs to a drug class called prokinetic agents, which are medications that enhance gastrointestinal (GI) motility (the ability to move food through the GI tract). Furthermore, this drug contains the active ingredient metoclopramide and can be more specifically categorized as a dopamine-2 (D2) antagonist. The way Gimoti works is not completely understood.
